David, thank you for the note on the slow down program,I'll get back to
that again. meanwhile - what about Cross Grade, Audio Companion, and
Sweet Midi from Pike?- are these essential optionals - or just vice versas?

Meanwhile - I got started 7 years ago with Overture/ when it was a toss
up between MOTU and Overture. I don't think Finale was out then. The
company was going bankrupt- and there was a long difficult transition to
the Cambridge,Mass.Cakewalk owners- and finally Don Williams- the
original programmer bought the rights back - and has been wonderful to
work with - he has walked me through difficult patches, sent me CD's
when my old dial up would hickup and giveup and downloads
were...well.......think tax-refund. I only produce notation- and I've
found it wonderful- because of the great service Don Williams provides-
and I was well over 70 when I started learning about computers-and he
has been incredibly patient.
