MOST clarinet mouthpieces are made of hard rubber. A few very expensive
ones are made of wood, some are crystal glass, cheap ones are typically of
plastic or acrylic, but generally, intermediate and pro models (Vandoren,
Selmer, and most custom jobs) are hard rubber.
