I bought an eBay eefer myself. It came with a Vandoren mouthpiece, which
was screechy and nasal. I had a mouthpiece made by Roger Garrett, and it
is MUCH better, maintaining a very clarinet-like tone throughout the range
of the instrument. Others on the list also make mouthpieces and are very
likely to be able to do better than Vandoren.
