Thanks Peter and Ken, Good to know my ear was choosing correctly.
I coached the Debussy with Charlie when I was a student at Eastman, but
most of my interpretation comes from Hasty's great ideas when I was
studying it the year before. I saw him do a master class at the Sweeden
convention on Debussy again and thought he was still the master at this piece.

I'll be doing my annual Clarinettissimo concert in Seattle on September 19
with clarinettists Jennifer Nelson, Florie Rothenberg and David Frank.
We're doing Debussy, Poulenc Sonata for cl/pf and for two clarinets,
Messiaen Abyss of the Birds, and Desportes French Suite.

On October 3 at Polestar in Seattle I'm doing a solo clarinet recital with
Eric Mandat's Preludes and Folk Songs, the Messiaen again, a world premier
of my new "Character Pieces", and a few other short little pieces. The idea
behind this concert is to highlight as many of the clarinet's possiblities
as possible, so that I may encourage our large local composer population to
write for the clarinet.

October 8th I'm at Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina for the Mozart
Quintet, Osborn Quintet #1, Debussy again, and the Brahms Trio - should be
a blast. There might also be concerts at Western Carolina and in Charlotte
- those are still up in the air.

Cheers all, and thanks again.

Sean
