Particia,

Walter and his wife were in Dallas this weekend visiting friends. Walter
brought many of his mouthpieces for both clarinet and bass and I had a great
time playing them all. What a treat. I especially liked his flagship
mouthpieces, the CX_BS and the CXZ_K13. He brought many mouthpieces...each
model offering up something a little different. Walter has made it a point
to offer up something for everyone and at several price points.

We went to a little Mexican food cafe near downtown, after our work was
done, and had a great time. During dinner Walter mentioned that he has a
seminar developed on mouthpieces: their nomenclature, construction, facings,
etc. which he has given once or twice already. I am working on having Walter
come to Dallas again soon and presenting this seminar at several of the
local universities. I'll let the list know if/when it happens so that if
people live near the Dallas area so that they can participate.

I haven't had the opportunity to see any of Walters bench work but I sure do
like the way he thinks. I could tell from talking to him that he has a real
commitment to doing things right.
