Hello
I am sure that you will get some more knowledgeable answers on
this, but I can make some suggestions based on my experience. I
sometimes have that problem, and when I do, changing the reed
(especially to a harder reed) usually helps right away. That suggests
that you might try some other reeds and mouthpeices and find a
combination that works better for you.
Fatigue is also a factor, especially when I have had a week or more
off the instrument. If those are issues, then of course rest (for the
short term) and consistent practice (for the long term) may help.
