Why Not? Expanding the variety of products offered would be a natural
for a WallMart SuperStore. Just think, WallMart or Costco could offer
in the same store the services of a midwife for young musicians not yet
able to make a decent living and a walk-in mortuary for the elder
musicians making their final plans. No need to pay high hospital fees
or getting ripped of at a real mortuary. To keep this related to the
purpose of this list, I'll bet that for a small fee you could get them
to have the caskets made with built-in electronics that would play tapes
of pre-recorded performances by the deceased clarinetist while the
mourners pass by the casket at the service. You could even have a
matinee service and a formal evening service and all without rehearsals.
