On second thoughts, it strikes me that I haven't addressed your comment
adequately here. I now find it to mean more than I took it to mean at first
glance.

Do you really think that my saying that I don't respect or agree with the
stance of Etheridge's book -- and I don't -- constitutes 'grouchiness' and
'unkindness'?
