If length is the issue why would you shorten the mouthpiece rather than
shortening the barrel? I understand that there might be other factors
that might differentiate the ideal C mouthpiece from the ideal Bb/A one,
but I'd think it would be nice to be able to at least try switching
mouthpieces. Just curiosity -- my total C experience is 20 seconds
playing a Ridenour at the OK symposium and I was thinking "Ooo, this is
fun, is there anyway I can justify buying one of these?" rather than
about tuning.
