A gentleman, a mensch. Eerie, however--when I read of his death late
last night, I looked down to see that his arrangement of the Bartok
Roumanian dances was on the top of my stack of sheet music. There are
no coincidences, only messages we sometimes need to have read to us.

I am sure he arranged for his musical legacy to continue, and hope, too,
that his family takes comfort in a long life, well-lived, and in the
number of people whose own work and development he took to a higher level.
