The great oboist Steve Adelstien was on tour in Spain years ago and came across a fellow working on his roof.
Steve was very surprised that the roof looked like Arundo Donax! The cane looked so good, he bought the fellows ROOF!

He told me it was wonderful aged, sun-dried, Spanish cane and made fantastic reeds!
