Many (all?) of the ligatures with the screws to the
left are actually inverted ligatures, in which the
screws are designed to be positioned facing away from
the player (over the backside of the mouthpiece, not
over the reed).  I do know some left-handed clarinet
players who put these ligatures on "backwards", in
order to get the screws so they face the proper
direction for them.
