Thank you. One person on this list already chose to slap me in public.
I am still enough of a gentleman to have replied to her in private.

Now, can we read the following?--I. Was. Not. Impugning. The. Work.
Or. Professionalism. Of. Morrie. Backun. I was and am critical of
pricing systems where I don't know what the other guy is holding. I
wish I could afford to engage Backun, in fact. Does that sound like I'm
doing nasty things to his rep? I don't think so.

Wurlitzer? No, I do not want a new clarinet, just a stripdown and
reassembly of my Series 9: or whatever it needs. If I'm angry--and I
am--it's not at Backun, who I gather is (1) a lovely person with whom to
do business, i.e., a mensch, (2) a repair genius, and (3) someone I
don't know from a hole in the wall. No, my anger is directed at the
corner I've painted myself and my out-of-a-job son into. Relevant
example: I had to sell off 2 mouthpieces recently, $500 when I bought
them, to stave off a trip to my least favorite book in the universe,
Chapter 7. Y'know what? It didn't work. And I'm taking my son with me
because I cannot cosign new terms for his car.

I feel REAL good right now. I'm the reason they don't give out carry
permits in New Jersey.

The cats are out of the bag and are missing the litter pans....

Ken
