I think one of the main advantages of a matched set is ergonomic: that the
keys will FEEL the same. With two clarinets of different model but by the
same manufacturer, the differences should be minimal if any. Presumably,
the overall design philosophy should also be similar, so there should be no
large differences in resistance, etc. between two Leblancs.
