Thanks Karl, I did check and I tried the oil trick but as you said, the
first time I swab it out, my line of oil will disappear and gunk up my =
swab.
I guess I'll be washing it tomorrow. My clarinet maintenance man oils =
my
clarinet about once a year. I've encountered some people who don't =
believe
in oiling the bore more often than that. I'm sure excess oil does =
collect
dirt and as long as I do thorough swabbing it really shouldn't be a =
problem.

A few nights ago, I very thorough swabbed out the clarinet and then =
dried
out every tone hole that had been causing problems and sure enough, =
after
about 4 numbers, the gurgling started again. I couldn't believe it! I =
don't
have much time for swabbing at all. As I said, it must be the =
conditions,
since I've never had this many problems with that before.
