Ted Casher here. Robert T. Creutz---right now, Rayburn's is having a
removal sale---go to the Symphony Hall Block, and you can probably find a
good Selmer or LeBlanc used clarinet within your price range. They are
moving across the street and down half a block, so they are still within
reach of NEC, BCM, and Berklee. They are selling many instruments so they
don't have to move them.
I have not tried a Jupiter clarinet, so I can't venture an opinion.
