OK Nancy. You've convinced me. We'll go for it and let the chips fall
where they may. She'll decide in the end and I'll simply take things at =
her
pace. I think we'll have lots of fun on the journey. I always tell my
students that I feel I must prepare them for anything-including a life =
as a
professional musician, since I cannot predict what they will do with =
their
music someday. So, when they complain about memorizing scales, counting
rhythms, or being asked to have a pencil with them at every lesson, =
etc.. I
always tell them that professional musicians do all these things. Then =
they
say, "well, I''M not going to be a professional musician" and my reply =
is
always, "One NEVER knows!" Christy
