Thank you for the welcome and advice! I guess my spell checker wasn't
on! I live in Florida near Gainesville . I just learned that the clarinet
professor at U of F took some students in a clarinet choir to Clarinetfest!
I wish I could be there to hear them! I didn't know there was such a thing
until recently. The high school that I was in stressed football over music
(either band or chorus) so, even though we played "concert music" I didn't
get to learn a lot about the history, etc. In fact, it wasn't until recently
that I even knew that there was any difference between my clarinet and
anybody else's, besides the covered thumb key ( I am presuming that the
other "gizmo" has been disconnected!) And even though I always presumed
that there must be a "higher end" model for professional clarinets, it had
never been discussed in our class. So, I am reading and "listening" to the
list!! And definitely learning!
