Patricia, I find that most of the time, it seems to be a reed =
problem-too
soft. I don't know why I have such a hard time convincing people of =
that
but I do. I've wondered if it simply the fact that they don't want to =
spend
extra money on new reeds but I can't figure out how they can stand the =
sound
when they play like that. Then there is the art of voicing also and I
suppose the fact that most people simply don't play those notes often =
enough
to be able to voice them properly. I've never heard of anyone teaching =
a
clarinetist to play flat in the altissimo register?! What's that about?
