For those of us at 'Fest or enroute, some info for future discussion. For
those at home who have noted the related discussion recently, FYI -

I stopped in my local Kmart this afternoon to pick up a few things in
preparation for travel, and as I was waiting for the cashier to resolve a
computer terminal problem, heard him say something to a sales clerk walking
by that he appreciated his "fixing that trumpet." Before I could ask what
he meant I noticed a large stack of color flyers on the counter with
pictures of- you guessed it, First Act band instruments. I tossed two of the
flyers in my stuff, and read them later. There's a paragraph at the bottom
that claims the instruments come with a two-year warranty, with service
available through a "nationwide repair network." I intend when I get back to
see if West Virginia has any repair techs who are a part of this network. I
know all the reputable and trustworthy repair people in WV through regular
contact (all of six, three of whom work in the same shop, this isn't a very
big place, folks), and haven't heard any mention of this from any of them.

I do know the management at our Kmart, and will also make a point to
"educate" them on what they're in for. And I want to meet the clerk who
repaired the trumpet...what a brave soul he is.

On to Fest-ing!
Don
