Yeah, I ought not to have implied that the corner is always the place to
put your speaker(s) to avoid producing standing waves. In a panic
situation with a 50-minute video and a 100 minute class session, anything
which works is acceptable. In this case, with the placement of the student
bodies and desks the egg-shell concrete ceiling with acoustical tile and
the rectangular shape of the room with flat walls it worked and the class
went forward. Any different configuration needs a little experimentation
beforehand to find a spot where the delivery to the students is effective.
