Is "responsiveness" the same thing as "sound character"? I'm not
at all sure.

AND.....look at some of the wood they are using these days. I
inspected a new
clarinet the other day, and the wood looked like dyed plywood!

I can imagine "old-timer" instrument rolling over in their
graves!
