Well, I suppose that's only to be expected. People who have studied Acoustics
constitute a quite small proportion of the population.

Well, let's get to it, about this reed/mouthpiece interaction for example, with
the benefit of your knowledge. I thought you were saying that mouthpiece
material -- a differende in density and rigidity, for example -- made no
difference to mouthpiece response, which seems to me to be quite unlikely,
given that we have two vibrating systems in physical contact with each other.
What is the rational basis for your assertion?
