Subj: [kl] The Mystery of the Missing Tuning rings
Date: Mon, 19 Jul 2004 17:43:06 -0400

The missing tuning rings may be still be found. Look inside your case
(especially if you use a Selmer double case from the 60's) between the
back wall of the case near the hinges and the nearby storage
depressions that are on the tray where the clarinet parts lie; there is
a crack there with the cloth fuzzy material filling in the gap so you
don't see the crack. Sometimes the rings and other things like
screwdrivers fall in there.

Otherwise, check to see what your 2nd clarinet player is using. His/Her
tuning rings might be engraved with your ID number.
