This is almost neither here nor there, but before we had fixed video
projectors with good sound systems in our classrooms I would wheel in a
cart holding a VCR, TV monitor and speakers when I wanted to show a
video. I discovered early on that if I placed the unit at the front and
middle of the classroom, certain bass frequencies resonated between the
walls and so interfered with the rest of the frequencies that hearing what
was transmitted became nearly impossible. Putting the unit at one corner
of the classroom cleared up the problem.
