Walt, I believe everything you have told me about your intent in
working with mouthpiece, instruments, etc. so as to enable a
player to achieve a better sound quality. I don't dispute your
motivation or your earnestness.

My dispute is entirely with one thing and one thing only. How do
you know that the thing you are tweaking will yield the result
you seek? What evidence do you have that you are attacking the
cause of the problem, or that what you do will improve the
situation?

And all I hear in return is that you know and I don't. While in
the end, that may be true, it is not a viable front end argument.
