Dan, that is not what I said, should I slap you with a wet noodle?
<slap slap slap SLAP>

There, I feel a little better now.

What I said was, "it sounds VERY much like a wooden clarinet".

Maybe I shouldn't have made any kind of comparison at all, since
to my ears there is no difference, but like you pointed out, just
because it sounds a certain way *to me* is not proof of anything.

The only reason I made any kind of comment on the "sound" of it
at all was because the person who was inquiring about different
models of C clarinets seemed to be a new clarinet player, in fact
he even mentioned that he wanted to replace his plastic clarinet
with a wooden one. So I'm thinking, he would probably be turned
off by the idea of a rubber clarinet.

Anyway, I'm not going to beat anything to death (except I might like
to slap you with that wet noodle some more, Dan) but I just wanted
to clear that up. If I really had any kind of *problem* with the idea
of playing a hard rubber clarinet, I certainly would never have considered
purchasing one.

Sue
