Subj: [kl] Noblet 45 Eefer
Date: Fri, 16 Jul 2004 21:42:35 -0400

I tried out the Noblet 45 Eefer tonight and initially liked-until I took =
out
my own eefer and compared the two. I have a Buffet Evette that Scott
Winkler overhauled for me with cork pads. The tone is far better on the
Buffet, even when I test the two out with the Woodwind G8 mouthpiece =
that
comes with the Noblet. I have a Clark Fobes Nova mouthpiece that I use =
on
my eefer and I love it.
The band director who wanted me to try this clarinet out teaches at a
small Catholic school with a limited budget. He has had some very =
talented
students and one of his clarinet players is a former students of mine.
Several of the students saw me play my eefer in the Civic Band and I =
believe
they became interested in it. The girl who would probably play this =
eefer
would, I believe, be disappointed in this instrument. =20
I'm leaning towards advising the band director to perhaps purchase =
a
less costly eefer and spend the extra money on "finishing" by a great
clarinet technician. Does anyone have any recommendations as to brand
and/or model of eefer for this purpose?=20
