Any instruments I have bought or have helped students select have come =

a choice of standard pro mouthpieces such as Vandoren, or Selmer, just =
not
high end custom items like Morgan, Smith or Lomax. Usually there is a =
one
year warrantee and a free adjust. Repadding or corking is not usually
included unless there are problems with the stock pads, although if you =
have
a good relationship with the dealer they might change a few of the key =
pads
to cork at cost.

A friend of mine who is a band director (and also a brass player) gave =
me a
new Noblet Leblanc 45 Eefer last night to try out. It is new and has a
Woodwind G8 mouthpiece in the case. I haven't yet tried it out but I'm
wondering what is a fair price for this instrument? The invoice says =
the
price is $1,444. The band director buys a lot of instruments from this
particular store and I'm wondering if it is fair for him to ask that =
they
include a non-stock mouthpiece with the instrument and if so, what type? =
Is
it fair to ask them to throw in some cork padding on the instrument? It
appears as though this instrument has never been taken out of its case =
and
has the original factory pads, etc... =20
