Ormond, I guess I question how much compensation is being lost,
particularly in a community like the one I live in. We have a large =
medical
clinic in our town and I certainly do not see the physicians suffering =
from
lack of compensation. They have classified themselves as a "non-profit"
organization and have gotten away with not paying taxes for years. The
"non-profit" status was challenged in court several years back and they
lost. They are now upset that they must finally pay property taxes in =
this
town. I doubt that this will result in fewer Porsche's, BMW's and =
Mercedes
Benz cars driving around town, not to mention the homes that are =
definitely
"overbuilt" for the neighborhoods they are located in.
I know this is probably very different in large urban areas. I =
don't
know anyone who chooses to opt out of health insurance if it is =
available to
them through an employer, but there are many who simply cannot pay the
premiums. =20
