Ton:

As far as jazz is concerned, my absolute favorite clarinetist is Buddy
DeFranco. Eddie Daniels is considered the best of this generation but I
prefer Buddy DeFranco because he uses the entire range of the clarinet and
plays with the top notch jazz musicians. Check Amazon. com or CD now. Eddie
Daniels is amazing both technically and musically. He often combines
classical approaches with jazz for a very unique sound. There are several
recordings out there.

Robert Marcellus's version of the Mozart clarinet concerto is the best as
far as I am concerned. I have never heard anyone play it more beautifully. I
do not even know if his recording is available anymore. Again, check Amazon.

I am sure you will get a lot of responses. Good luck.
