Before we all start buying 12,000 grit micromesh paper...I looked up
what the numbers meant.
Normal WetorDry paper versus Micromesh
400=1500
600=1800
1500=4000
2000=12,000

Most mouthpiece folks use 400 and 600 paper for most of the actual
refacing and we tend to polish the table and rails with either 1500 or
2000 grit paper. In the business you tend to use 3m Imperial grade or
even 3m MicroFinishing film, which is wonderful to use. My favorite
finishing surface is my extra 25 pound dissertation copy paper. That
said, I will have to check out this micro-mesh paper!
