Marty - you have a couple of choices. The V-12 Vandoren was mentioned,
but there is also the Grand Concert Reed (rico's ultra premium reed)
which is very good. I like the Thick Blank #3 1/2 as well as their
Evolution Reed. Neither costs very much and they play quite well right
out of the box.

that's a link to Tom Ridenour's Reed System which works really, really
well and is very easy to use. So you can get that box you already have
to work great with it. It's easy enough to use to even teach a student
in about 20 minutes to adjust a reed and get very good results with
it.

I'm not paid by Tom to hype it, just a satisfied customer.
