Hi Karen-
You might try Vandoren V12 reeds if you never have tried these. On many mouthpieces they seem to respond better than the traditional Vandorens(blue box) reeds. They are also softer than the traditional Vandoren and might be more comfortable for you for a while. Try these in the 3 1/2 strength.
