Yes. All of the following are available in several printings. These are
just the ones I happen to own (some bought used...in the case of the
Fischer book, very used).
[Anonymous with various contributors.] Carl Fischer's New and Revised
Edition of Celebrated Tutors: Saxophone. New York: Carl Fischer, 1889.
Basic instruction with good exercises to develop specific skills. The
fingering chart is credited to Vereecken, but most of the rest is presented
without attribution: have fun figuring out the sources!
Larry Teal. The Art of Saxophone Playing. New Jersey: Sammy Birchard
Music, 1963. Not a lot of exercises, but a renowned set of basic
instructions, with detailed diagrams and charts.
Ben Vereecken. Foundation to Saxophone Playing. New York Carl Fischer,
1917. A mixture of etudes and pieces, mostly transcriptions.
Paul deVille. The World's Edition Universal Method for the Saxophone. New
York: Carl Fischer, 1908. 320 pages of exercises, many derived from Klose
and other methods for other instruments. Nearly every sax student buys
this standard etude book.
