Nothing beats a good teacher, but Avrahm Galper's "Clarinet Method"
series and "Tone< Technique, & Syaccato" are (imo) as least as useful
and somewhat more enjoyable than the other "standards" such as Rubanks,
etudes, studies, etc. His books don't include a lot of prose, but
every word that he does include in his books really mean something.
