Mm, interesting, thanks. It looks like a very useful history of how the
success of 'mechanics' has influenced our thought processes adversely.

An attempt to characterise the necessary alternative metaphor to the
'mechanical' metaphor (and a statement of the need to have both that metaphor
and the 'mechanical' metaphor available in order to think rightly), is to be
