about an electric violin also. I really don't know what she would use =

for and I'm afraid it would go the way of her guitar (nice decoration on =

closet shelf). We don't have an amplifier either, so that would another
expense. Could anyone recommend a good amp. For such a thing?

Not to plug Sam Ash again, but they've got a nice Carlo Robelli Electric
Violin that's running for $299... It sounds great and I'd especially
recommend it for a not-so-professional player or student.

Make sure your son is proficient on the acoustic first, though, because
playing is a little different on an electric fiddle...
