Not to plug Sam Ash again, but they've got a nice Carlo Robelli Electric
Violin that's running for $299... It sounds great and I'd especially
recommend it for a not-so-professional player or student.
Make sure your son is proficient on the acoustic first, though, because
playing is a little different on an electric fiddle...
