CC - I'm wondering if you have a Private Clarinet Teacher. Most that I
know wouldn't even consider Flight as a valid College Audition piece
as it's just chromatic and not much else. I saw other posts suggesting
that you don't use that work and I wholeheartedly agree with them.
Weber Concertino is a favorite of mine as well as the Mozart Concerto,
and Debussy Rhapsody is another one. 1st mvt of Webers Concerto 1 is
another great work for a college audition.

The odds are pretty high that your flight won't be very even and it
won't impress anyone hearing it who knows what they are listening to.
If you doubt me, just have a listen to this recording - it's one of
the Worlds top Flutists yet it's sloppy.

the file) See the actual website URL (before the sms) to see who it
is. I was pretty shocked hearing it, but that's live music for ya!

Does anyone have any suggestions about practicing/performing the
Flight of
the Bumblebee for clarinet? I'm using it for college audition.
