Georg,

Is it possible that the window in/on German mouthpieces is/are smaller
than those on French/American/? mouthpieces, thus allowing the use of Eb
reeds? Or, perhaps the reeds used for Eb in Germany are larger(?) than
they are here? This is fascinating.
