Gee Dave, you seem to have a problem with people who don't do thing just
exactly the way you do.

I find individual messages much easier to deal with. I just set up a
separate folder for "klarinet" list mail, and a filter to send all list
mail directly to that folder. The messages sit there until I have the
time to look at them.

In the meantime, it's really easy to get rid of the off-topic political
crap by sorting the messages by subject, blocking out all the unwanted
subjects, and hitting "delete" once. Takes all of about five seconds.
