for good fingering which are in tune (ouch my poor lip) and i was wondering
if it is even necessary to get past the A just above that. I've only found
the A in two pieces and although i've managed to squeak out a C above it,
are these notes ever even used in music? If i will probably never use them i
dont really want to suffer trying to figure out better fingerings to bring
them in tune
Altissssssimo clarinet is essential, not merely just for the repertoire, but
to fully develop the control and embouchure for notes immediately lower - C
(2 ledger lines up to G). It also helps to develop quick thinking when
'cross fingerings' or alternate fingerings need to be used. And as you say,
for better intonation all round this area.
