What fun this article is! From the first time I sat in my 5th grade
bandroom, I've wondered how all those other people in the world, who don't play, can
stand not being in the middle of the music making. I still feel that pleasure
when I'm in a band or orchestra. This reporter got to sit in the middle of
the NY Philharmonic. Sigh....
