If you truly do believe in free speech, you also believe in Lelia's
right to speak her mind, not only if she agrees with your point of
view.

I also question anybody's right to define what is a "real American".
Last I knew, no one party or belief system had any monopoly on it. Look
out there. What you see- from liberal, conservative, Christian, Muslim,
Jew, gay, straight, rich, poor, every creed and color, they are all
Americans, like it or not.

Rien has a right to his freedom of speech and opinions as well. I
think that it is misguided to believe that gratitude would mean that
all of Europe must fall in line with every political view the US holds
because of our contributions in the world wars. If so, we must remember
as Americans to be eternally grateful and supportive to France and
Poland, among others, because of the contributions of Generals
Lafayette and Kosciuszko during the Revolutionary War as well as to
show our eternal gratitude to the Native Americans for the
contributions in wars from the Revolutionary War through today.
