We're all far more at risk since Bush and his poodle invaded - illegally
- Iraq. It's the best recruiting drive Bin Ladin could have asked - he
must be laughing to himself at how well Bush fell into his trap of
making war between Islam and Christianity - or at least the fundamental
wings of both. More mature adherents of either faith would shun either
leader.
As for Israel - the stance that Bush is taking is just what Bin Laden
would want to further his aims of splitting the world into two halves.
There will never be peace in the middle east unless Israel is prepared
to take note of international opinion - why is it okay for the Israelis
to ignore the UN but not Saddam Hussain.
I read recently that 45% of Americans still think Saddam Hussain was
linked to 11/9/2001 - he was OPPOSED to radical Islamic movements as he
was a secularist. Okay, not a very nice one, but a secularist none the
less. The 11/9 issue is nothing whatsoever to do with Iraq - although
since Iraq a repeat is a whole lot more likely.
Also I think it's a bit rich for Americans to lecture the world on
democracy after the last presidential election......... Mind you, a war
is always good for one's re-election chances. It worked for Maggie -
Bush is no doubt hoping for the same.
Finally - remind me about Bush's record in active service as opposed to
that of Kerry?
