The Griffes piece is a single short movement that uses standard western
orchestral instruments and scales without 'weird' devices such as
rubbing piano strings or extreme dissonance or any other such gimmick.
I wish it had been longer. IMO it ends too quickly, before the tale is
fully told.

Griffith was an American composer (1845-1920), and his life was tragic.
