I know (or knew) Dante Perfumo. Contact me privately. I'm not
sure he is still alive because I have not seen him for over 20
years. He is the only man I knew who had a metal contrabassoon.
He lived in San Jose and we played together on several occasions.

Does anyone know of a San Francisco area woodwind
player/collector, Dante
Perfumo? I see his name as the owner of a Heckelphone and I would
like to
chat with him but he remains...enigmatic. Apparently he recorded
jazz flute
and woodwinds with Mingus and played Heckelphone in SF
Symphony...any leads
