Subj: [kl] George Szell Beethoven 5th

George Szell's weird Rit...I realize I may seem a bit irreverant or
irrelevant depending on who is listening but towards the end of the
Clevelend Beethoven 5 just before the final 34 in the last movement is what
I hear as an incredible ritardando not written...or so it seems to be. I
find this to be one of the elements in this Beethoven 5 that really bugs the
hell out of me...otherwise it is pretty good.

Does ritarding when no written bother some of you..this one is really
killing me.
