How do you mean, close intervals?
Also, did you try my suggestion, as in the URL reference? That certainly
gives you very easily a wide pitch change, and you might be able to transfer
those tongue movements to get a better result with the 'moutharrel'.
BTW, remember to keep blowing very strongly throughout all this. It's
particularly important on the moutharrel, especially with the lower notes.

Please keep us up to date with how you're doing -- after all, that's what
would happen in a lesson. (And let's face it, all our 'brilliant' advice is
completely useless unless you eventually get to play the glissando:-)
